I am so excited to say that my weight is trending lower and lower. This is coming from someone who has a very difficult time losing weight. I have given up all the high sugar and bad processed foods. Heck, I don't even eat pasta for now. I know Shakeology® has helped me keep dinner calories down to a minimum. How many of you eat a protein, vegie, and some sort of carb heavy side? Chances are, the carb heavy side is loading you down and is likely more than just a single serving. If you are serving for example, mac and cheese for your kids, do not put it on your plate. If your fear that deprived feeling may follow, take a small bite or two, then leave it for the kids. Ok, on another subject...remember the trial offer for P90X, Turbofire, and Brazil Butt Lift ends Tuesday. This deal is great for those of you "on the fence" about starting an exercise program. You have 30 days to decide if it is for you. Visit  my website, click shop and then trial offers to view the Challenge pack trial.

It is like second nature

It's funny how when you become accustomed to waking up at 3am give or take, you continue to do so even when you don't need to! I wake up at that time even on weekends. Sometimes I will just go back to bed, but   my 5 mo old is usually expecting a bottle so I continue my routine :) I have been waking up early for about the past 4 months. I started shortly after my C Section with Insanity® and then continued on with Les Mills Pump®. Both workouts are on my all time favorite list. Les Mills offers such an excellent barbel workout, very intense. Insanity® is just plain insane! It pushes you further than you ever thought possible. Even if you can't complete the full workout on any given day, you still reap the benefits and become more physically fit. In order to see the results that most of us are looking for when starting a workout program, you have to manage your diet. The days of eating everything and anything are over. Concentrate on protein and low sugar and I think you will be on the right track.

If you have been up in the air about starting a fitness program.. what are you waiting for? Beachbody has another week of the free Trial offer. This offer is you pay shipping and tax on 1 of 3 popular Challenge Packs (which include fitness program, Shakeology, and month membership in Team Beachbody Club). First you have to decide that you need to do something in the form of exercise, then you have to commit to it. Thinking about it won't get you the results you want. Just sitting back watching others succeed is not an option. Why do that to yourself? Start now. Take baby steps. Do more today than you did yesterday. Get into a routine. If your day gets hectic with family and work once you wake up, wake up earlier! That's what I did. Before kids I used to go to the gym all the time. I literally reworked my schedule at the pharmacy so I could go to my favorite morning classes. I would work late shifts most of the week. Once kids entered the picture, all that changed. I no longer put myself first. I would try and take my young infant to the gym's daycare.. she'd get sick. I gave up. She was more important. My life revolved around the kids. One day, I was watching an infomercial about Turbofire® and went online and ended up with Chalene Extreme®. Since then, I had another (3rd) child and life has gotten even busier. I work full time 45 min from home and still wake up earlier on work days (M-F). I will be exercising by 430am daily. Just visit my site and look around at all of the fitness programs offered. You also get free support and motivation from yours truly :) . How can you go wrong there?? Til next time...

Trial Offer Ending Soon

Remember that the trial offer on the Challenge Packs (including Shakeology® and Turbofire®, P90X®, or Brazil Butt Lift®) is going on through July 31!! If you watch the early morning infomercials and are the least bit curious, why not try it. You pay under $30 (shipping plus tax) and get both the fitness program AND Shakeology® for the month to test drive! Before the month is up, make your decision. When you see such great results you will likely decide that you want to continue, but if not, they allow you to return it and not be billed. The Challenge packs offered in this deal range from $160 to $205. So, depending on the pack you choose, you will be billed accordingly. At the end of each month thereafter, you will be on autodelivery of Shakeology®. I know I sometimes run out of my Shakeology® before my order (because my husband drinks it sometimes or I give some away), so I started another order of the Vegan Chocolate!! I can't wait to get it. If ever you change your mind or want to take a break from Shakeology®, you just call them and they will cancel your redelivery. I had to do that when I was pregnant. So, if you want to try a Challenge Pack, here is what you do... Go to my site, click the SHOP tab. On the left side of the screen you should see a list starting with Challenge Packs and just below it Trial Offers. For the trial challenge packs, click trial offers.

If you want to save shipping and still get a discount off regular price, you can buy the regular Challenge packs. They offer considerable discounts over the regular prices AND come with all of the other Fitness programs. For example, say you wanted to try Les Mills Pump. Les Mills Pump basic set is $165 and Shakeology® is $119.95. You can get the Challenge Pack with both LMP and Shakeology® PLUS a free month membership in Team Beachbody Club® plus free shipping for $265. I know I paid for shipping when I got my LMP. They ship barbels, weights, I got the bench and an extra set of weights, so shipping was significant. Finally, if you think you may want to try your hand at coaching, now is your chance. Normally, to sign up as a coach you pay $39.99 then monthly $15.95 (for maintenance of  3 websites, coach training tools , etc..). If you sign up as a Coach by clicking the Coach tab from my site, you can buy a Challenge pack (pick regular, or decline and next page will offer the trial offer). If you buy a Challenge Pack or Challenge Trial Pack offer, you have the Coach Fee waived. There is another $39.99 saved!! This deal was not available to me when I signed up, it would have been a great deal!!! If for no other reason, sign up to be a coach to save 25% of the price of fitness programs, Shakeology®, and nutritional supplements.

Les Mills Pump is Working

So today I weigh 10 lbs less than when I started Les Mills Pump!! Woo hoo! That is taking the highest number off the scale from a series of daily weigh ins! :) Your body weight fluctuates and I can attest to that.. daily, hourly, etc.. it fluctuates. I don't care, as long as the trend is trending down, I am happy with that. I also have more muscle tone in my upper body. It is always a slow process for me, so this kind of accomplishment is very exciting. I mean, come on, I have been waking up religiously at 3am on work days and exercising like a mad woman. It would have to eventually pay off! AND, I have totally changed the way I eat. I cut out pasta completely and do not eat bread in the form of sandwiches anymore. I will have a half of a sprouted grain english muffin on occasion with some natural nut butter on top. You really do not feel like you are missing out on anything with a snack like that. One thing that has become a regular daily snack is my almond milk and whey protein powder. I get the one sold by Beachbody, but any would work. I like the vanilla and the chocolate, and often will mix the two. I'm so glad I decided to do Les Mills Pump, there is nothing out there quite like it, and you can follow the schedule or add in the cardio dvds or some combo of the two.

Les Mills Pump

Today was Pump Revolution. I guess I am just doing barbel dvds every other day on M, W, and F at this point. I don't really use the schedule.. since I moved up on it so early into the program. I do use it as a guide for the flow/cardio days. I think I love the step workout cardio wise the best. You wouldn't believe how sore your body can become and fatigued your legs can get in such a short amount of time. I plan to do another cardio tomorrow.. would walk/run/jog.. but at 330am-4am.. I'm just not that brave.. I prefer my walk/runs in the sunlight.. makes me feel better for sure. Les Mills Pump is available as the basic set.. no step or cardio dvds.. with just the barbel weights .. OR as the deluxe with the step and extra set of 5 lb weights and 3 cardio dvd workouts. I say if you are purchasing, seriously consider the deluxe. You can try and get a step elsewhere, just make sure it's not one of those half steps.. those get annoying. This is the gym grade step. I did look on amazon.com and saw them for the same as Beachbody was charging (for the nicer step) so I stuck with Beachbody.

You are not supposed to weigh yourself daily, I know this. I preach this.. but I don't follow this! :) I use it as a guide at this point. I am about 5 months post partum.. I thought I'd be further along in my weight loss. Then I question .. should I eat more.. less.. what?? The scale is not going up at all .. so that is a plus. Actually if I average the numbers I've been getting..they are trending down. Thank goodness. I have done programs where the scale bounced all around the place.. and sometimes it would trend up. You have to always remember that you will be retaining fluid in your muscles in the beginning of strenuous workouts.. which could account for a few pounds here or there. You also have to consider that you may be building muscle. Muscle is more dense and takes up less space on your body as  fat.. so you may weight a little more as you build it.. but as long as your measurements are maintained or going down.. it's all ok! Diet is probably the most important part of the whole process. If you continue to put crap in your body and exercise like a mad person, you may not see/notice any results. Kind of sounds silly, doesn't it? You need to try and eat a clean, whole food diet as much as possible. Try and stay away from the unnecessary sugars. Start paying attention to what you eat. Keep a log. There are smart phone apps that allow you to track your food intake. You can tell it everything from how much you weigh, how much you want to weigh, how much exercise you get, etc. It will tell you how many calories you burn for the day.. Typically, we subtract 500 calories from that number to create a deficit. In the perfect world, you would lose 1 lb in 7 days (3500 kcal = 1 lb). It doesn't always work that way. It's a good baseline or guide for you. I have read about certain body types and how they gain/lose weight.. It seems that my type of body needs to stay away from pasta, sugar (duh!), and bread. I notice after a pasta dinner, the next day I feel bloated and stomach seems swollen. I have since stopped eating spaghetti for now. I drink my Shakeology regularly, and I swear to you it helps! Shakeology keeps you regular and enables you to have a very good for you shake without any guilt whatsoever! I just ordered the Chocolate Vegan, and cannot wait to try it. If it is nearly as good as the current regular Chocolate, then I will be happy.

Ok, signing off.. real quick, don't forget about the Beachbody Challenge Trial offers out there. It just allows you to pay after 30 days.. gives you a chance to return everything for no further charges (other than the shipping and handling you pay with the trial offer). The Trial Offer is valid until end of July as far as we've been told. So go to my site and click shop then trial offer should be on the left hand column. If you wanted to be a coach, you would sign up on my site first, then the challenge packs will be offered at the following page and trial on the further page.

You Be The Success Story

Time is running out! If you are still thinking about starting an exercise program, why not do this deal? Imagine the difference in YOU that could occur if you start now! Come along with me on my journey. I have been steadily working out and eating as clean as possible soon after having my 3rd child. It's not an easy task for me. The weight doesn't just fall off of me. I have to remain focused and committed. Onlookers may notice subtle changes at this point. Eventually, all of this hard work will pay off. Wouldn't it be nice if you started doing something too rather than watching me or someone else transform? It is kind of like the person with no aspirations for bigger and better things. They are content with their job and are not looking for promotion. One day a new person joins their business. That person aspires to move up in the business or further their education and move on. In a short amount of time that person is moving up the ladder and graduating from college and eventually is the person with no desire to move on's boss. Don't be left behind in your life. Start with your self. Get that self confidence that will help you in all aspects of your life. Be the successs story that you see on the Insanity or P90X informercial. Who is to say you can't do this? I will help motivate you, I promise :). Visit my site and look around. Register there for a free Team Beachbody membership. Look at all of the programs and supplements available. Beachbody helped me with my excuses. My biggest one was that I had no time to go to the gym. Now, I can do my workouts in the comfort of my own home on my own schedule. I don't have to wait for special classes, gyms to open, or bring my 3 children (1 infant) along for the workout. Decide on your why, set your goals, and make a commitment to your self!

Les Mills Pump Workout

The DVDs later in the workout schedule (Pump and Shred, Pump Extreme and Pump Revolution) are my all time favorites. You get 45minutes to almost an hour of barbel work. The extreme and revolution target more muscle groups. Each "track" is roughly 5 minutes. You leave the workout definitely feeling it. You must challenge yourself without overdoing it. Knowing that each track lasts a while, you have to prepare for numerous reps so you can make it to the end. It's the end of the track, when your muscles are super fatigued that you are making the biggest impact on your body. These barbel workouts are sure to increase your heart rate more than just lifting weights regularly would. Les Mills Pump cardio workouts are awesome too. I have t say, the STEP DVD is a killer. It starts out all mild and slow.. but towards the middle to the end, it becomes super intense. It's only 30 minutes but you wouldn't necessarily want it any longer than that. I used to take a bunch of step classes at a Gold's Gym in my area. They would spend a lot of time chatting before, then a long warm up and then a cool down... it may have been a 1 hour class, but we were lucky to get 30 minutes of step in. This STEP DVD gets right to the point. You won't feel like there was a minute wasted. You may want to increase your cool down. I think it's fine, since I am always in a rush to start getting ready for work. I love it!!

Still Loving It

It's very nice when you can honestly say even after 6 or so weeks of the same program, that you still love it! There are so many more programs I want to do, but I am not so sure I want to totally give up all the muscle work that Les Mills Pump offers. I do 3 days a week of the actual weights as the program schedule suggests, and then I do 3 to 4 days of cardio either from the Les Mills DVDs or from Insanity. When looking at 55 or so minutes on the clock, with Pump...before you know it, you are down to the last 5 minutes. I tend to be a clock watcher and I have to say, having the time fly is awesome.

On another subject, I don't know what I would do without my Shakeology®. Now I absolutely love my chocolate but ran out. I had given away some and my husband had some also. My autoship is on it's way, but you don't realize how much you miss something until it is gone. Luckily, I have some of the Tropical Shakeology® to use until my order arrives. If you have never tried it, you must at least try it. The very cool thing about Team Beachbody, is they offer a bottom of the bag guarantee. You are able to try for 30 days, if not satisfied--> money back, no questions asked. But then, they are pretty confident you will be satisfied :).

Today was a nice and quiet day spent with my 4 month old. My older children and husband spent the weekend at surf contests in the St. Augustine area. We have quite the little surfers on our hands! I realized I did week 5 of Les Mills Pump twice :-) oops! It really doesn't matter because I do 3 days of the more challenging pump DVDs and then either their cardio on non weight days or something not too insane from insanity. I only use the schedule as an overall guide. Exercise and moving is far better than the not moving at all! If anyone wants specifics about this program, message me and I will give more details. I love it. I like feeling like have worked hard. I enjoy being sore the next day and the next :-): The trial on the challenge packs is over the end of July. Want more info, you can email me, click the beachbody challenge link on the side of the blog or just go to my site at beachbodycoach.com/rxgal25 , click shop and then trial offer. The trial is great to test out the product. They are that certain you will love your results!

Work in Progress :)

Boy it's tough bouncing back after having a baby! Especially the 3rd baby, AND when you are in your 40's! Yikes! Even though I don't feel like I'm in my 40's :). Honestly, battling weight has always been a little more difficult for me than say my sister (when we were younger). I've always had to exercise for long stretches to see modest results. After I had my first child (2003), exercise was put on the back burner. I would always start out with good intentions, trying to get back to the gym. I'd take my daughter to the gym's daycare, and almost every time, she'd get sick. I decided that it just wasn't worth it. I would then begin only to go intermittently when time allowed and without any kids. After my son was born (2005), I even had more obstacles in the way of the gym. When I get there, I absolutely love group classes such as step aerobics, sculpting, and some sort of cardio circuit class. I remember just over a year ago, when I was watching TV in the early morning hours, seeing an infomercial for Turbofire. I really wanted to try it, it looked like a lot of fun. I went to Beachbody's main page and started justifying the price. I thought that if I could get the results that I saw on TV, it would totally be worth the $$. Researching more programs, somehow I ended up deciding on Chalene Extreme. I think most of us women want lean muscles along with our weight loss. I ordered it and did love it. I hadn't really learned to adjust my diet yet at this point. I did CHALENE EXTREME according to the schedule, never missing a workout. I had the deluxe version, so I added in a little extra cardio. I was losing inches and gaining POUNDS! That is sort of discouraging. Over the next 3 months, I would gain a total of 7 lbs! Not cool in my head, even though in real life, I may have looked a little better. I did not give up. I couldn't imagine that all of that hard work and not necessarily eating too much food would cause me to gain! I figured my body wasn't taking my lifestyle change seriously.. I figured it needed more time. I had already decided to try INSANITY next! Along with my new found love of Chocolate Shakeology®, I figured I had to be successful this time around! I was no where near giving up! It didn't take long into the program to see some results. Nothing drastic, nothing like the infomercials, but results. I was very strong from Chalene, so I didn't find it overly difficult other than the endurance part. That would improve over time. I quickly lost the 7 lbs that I had gained and several inches in addition. I was approximately 4 weeks from completing the program when I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child! After I picked myself up off the ground :), I decided to finish the program. After completing INSANITY, I decided to continue on with a sort of Angie-made hybrid combining some INSANITY with CHALENE EXTREME. I kept it easier on my body, doing the cardio from Chalene and some of the lesser insane INSANITY DVDs. Now, 4 months after baby #3 was born, I am well into LES MILLS PUMP. I'm still drinking my Shakeology® religiously. I am finishing up week 5 and have already seen 3 inch drop in the mid section. I wouldn't call it my waist.. since I still have residual baby belly going on :(. I've lost approximately 8 lbs. I still need to lose about 8 lbs to get to where I started on my journey. I am much healthier compared to back then..having built more muscle and improved cardio, but us women like to see the numbers on the scale  as an indicator of success. Even though I know the scale does not reflect success or failure (within reason), I am forever glued to it's readings! But, whatever it reads, I know I have worked extremely hard and that alone is success in my book.

I would never back anything that I don't believe in 100%. I love the Beachbody product line completely. Everything I learn about the company is positive. They are the complete package. You get amazing fitness programs from celebrity trainers, an assortment of nutritional supplements, and access to a website that offers meal planning and support. You get your very own "motivator" (coach) too. :)

If you want to join me in my fitness journey, feel free to visit my website. You can register there for a free Team Beachbody account. Look around the site. Research the different programs and supplements offered. There is a specific site for Shakeology®, go there and research the "healthiest meal of the day"! If you have any questions, email or message me. There is a special trial offer that runs through the end of July for those "on the fence" about programs and Shakeology®.. You can try 1 of 3 popular fitness programs, your choice of Shakeology® and get a free 30 day membership in the Team Beachbody Club, all for free--just pay shipping and tax (pay at the 30 day mark, or send it back and you pay nothing more). See my earlier entries for more information. If you go to my website, click shop, then click on the trial to learn even more. That's it for now. See you at the SUPERGYM!

Still Loving It!

I am still loving Les Mills Pump! I did Pump Extreme again this week.. loved it and Pump Revolution..same thing. I think those two are my favorite barbel exercises.. Long, and they hit every muscle! I don't know about you, but I like to be sore the next day.. I feel muscles I never knew I had :). I know people say that a lot, but I am serious. I can't wait to try more fitness programs..thinking I should at least try P90X, but I really want to try Turbo Fire! We'll see how it all goes. I am just finishing up my 5th week of Pump now.. so I have a while to worry about that.
Shakeology is becoming quite my addiction. I drink it daily around 4-430pm. It enables me to eat a very small dinner. My favorite recipe is chocolate Shakeology with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a sprinkle of cinnamon, 1/2 banana, and sometimes a little PB2 or even extra protein powder (I use Beachbody's Chocolate or Vanilla Whey).. soo good!

Here are 5 reasons you should drink Shakeology daily: (from their Blog)
  1. Your cravings for unhealthy foods can eventually disappear—and be replaced by cravings for healthy choices. It's true!
  2. You can save time! Replace one meal a day with Shakeology and that's one less meal to plan. Whip up your shake and go. It's fast food that's great for you.
  3. You can save money! If you drink Shakeology instead of eating lunch or dinner, you'll spend just $4 on your meal.
  4. You can save money, the sequel! As Shakeology improves your digestion, boosts your energy, and keeps you lean, you're bound to have fewer medical bills.
  5. You can keep the weight off! Studies show that people who eat breakfast every day are less likely to regain the weight. Furthermore, a protein-rich breakfast helps you feel full and reduces the tendency to snack throughout the day.
I just saw this recipe on the Shakeology's Blog .. will have to try

1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
½ cup almond milk
½ cup coffee
¼ tsp. cinnamon
2 drops vanilla extract

One more thing before I go get ready for the day... If you are "on the fence" about trying Beachbody's products.. they still have that trial offer for 3 popular Challenge packs. The Challenge Packs include 1 of 3 popular Fitness Programs, your choice of Shakeology (1 month supply), and a 30 day membership in Team Beachbody's club. Basically pay shipping plus tax on the pack and get to try it out before purchasing for 30 days! Love it? Then keep it and get charged on day 30! Don't love it? Send it back within 30 days from receiving and you don't get charged anything. What a deal. Go to my site, click shop then click "trial offer" to see the challenge packs offered for this deal. Want a different program? The rest of the Challenge Packs are discounted so you could always decide on those.
