So there I am.. after 2 months of P90X (before that 3 months of Les Mills Pump.
I'm still up at the crack of dawn (even earlier) and still push play 6 days a week.. Today is Plyo.. I really don't get too excited over it.. thank GOODNESS for Energy and Endurance formula because otherwise I think I may just hit snooze :) . I'm glad I took pictures early on.. otherwise I may not have appreciated my results.. I wish it was more drastic, don't get me wrong, but slow and steady is the way to go. It is a work in progress as I like to say. Visit my facebook like page www.facebook.com/coachangiecorbitt . I share motivational pictures and very helpful articles and postings that I find throughout facebook. I am currently learning A LOT about the dangers of soy products, and am constantly learning about GMO products and labeling (or lack thereof) of them. Message me, email me, or comment below if you are interested in any Beachbody program that we offer. They are truly worth it. Need a sample of Shakeology, I have all but greenberry to share. Just let me know.. Ok, Plyo land, here I come :)

You can even get a few friends to take the challenge with you. You will have your own support group. Let me know when you are ready and let's get you started!! Choose your program at this link. P90X Week 5

I am still pushing play daily at 4am! I love P90X. I think I really like it better than Insanity, only because I am not killing my knees and other joints daily with torture routines! :) Don't get me wrong, I love Insanity.. I think I have decided that I love weights and cardio mixed together. That's why I loved Les Mills Pump so much. You really want to feel like you got a great workout. P90X definitely delivers. I still cannot do a pullup without the assistance of a chair, but I imagine one day I will succeed. I can do push ups better than ever now. It's the little things.

My favorite workouts so far are Core Synergistics and Kenpo X. Core Synergistics is a wide assortment of moves that get your core cooking! You aren't jumping up and down, yet your heart rate will definitely increase during this workout. You use weights during some parts also. Also, you do so many reps that what you thought was a piece of cake, ends up really fatiguing you! Kenpo X is kind of like a kick boxing/martial arts class. You will throw a gazillion punches (well maybe not that many) and a ton of kicks.. front, side, back, corner, etc. You will feel this the next day for sure.

Last week started week 5. There was a new shoulder workout called Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I usually am not a big fan of shoulder workouts. My shoulders pop and are not very strong. Well, let me tell you, I think they are getting stronger!

It may take me more than a single round (3 months) to get where my mind thinks I should be physically. Baby steps as I always say. I am patient and keep measuring the areas that I want to see reduced and I notice them reducing.. so I know I'm on the right track.

Feel free to like my facebook page: Angie Corbitt. I find all kinds of great articles regarding food, nutrition, exercise, motivational quotes, etc.
The combination of obesity, insulin resistance, high cholesterol levels, and high blood pressure are becoming more common in kids as well as adults. Why do we need to do all that we can to prevent these from happening to our kids?? Because by preventing these things, we can prevent or delay diabetes and heart disease in our kids. Lifestyle changes are a necessary component of this equation.

There is this syndrome that is being seen in kids.. it's called metabolic syndrome. It is also known as insulin resistance or dysmetabolic syndrome. It is a group of bad metabolic and clinical effects that occur because of insulin resistance. The syndrome is identified when the patient has 3 of the following: fasting plasma glucose over 110; serum triglycerides over 150mg/dL, HDL less than 40mg/dLfor men and under 50 for women.. waist girth over 40 inches men and 36 for women. When they try and define this in kids, it gets difficult. They go into dividing into age groups and modify the criteria for those under 16.

What kind of example are you setting for your kids? Are you trying to lead a healthy and active lifestyle? Are you paying attention to the foods that are eaten in your household? There is so much information out there, most of it is available at your fingertips (literally) via a quick internet search. It's time to be responsible and take action.
